Los Andes Copper Announces Further US$ 5 million Investment by Queen's Road Capital

2022-09-03 05:18:19 By : Mr. Tao Liu

Los Andes Copper Ltd. (TSXV: LA) ("Los Andes" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement with Queen's Road Capital Investment Ltd. (TSX: QRC) ("Queen's Road Capital") whereby Queen's Road Capital will invest a further US$5,000,000 in Los Andes by way of an additional convertible debenture (the "Convertible Debenture").

The proceeds received from this capital raise will be allocated towards, expansion drilling at the Vizcachitas copper project in Chile which is expected to commence soon, completion of the Vizcachitas project ("Vizcachitas" or the "Vizcachitas Project") pre-feasibility study, underway and for general corporate purposes.

R. Michael Jones, CEO of Los Andes, commented: "We are very pleased to work with Queens Road Capital and note their steady support of the Company. This financing allows us to continue to progress the project and target resource growth while minimizing dilution to shareholders."

"These funds will allow us to continue with the exciting expansion drilling of Vizcachitas with up to five rigs and complete our Pre-Feasibility Study, (PFS) which is anticipated in Q4 this year. The PFS has a backdrop of an industry facing a potential large deficit in copper supply, which is anticipated just around the corner," added Jones.

Warren Gilman, Chairman and CEO of Queen's Road Capital, commented: "Queen's Road Capital sees significant opportunity of value recognition of Los Andes Copper since world class copper assets are increasingly rare. Recent volatility has not altered the course that copper is the essential ingredient in the world's drive towards electrification, which is also supported by recent M&A activity in the mining sector."

The Convertible Debenture will have a five-year term, carry an eight percent coupon and will be convertible into common shares in the capital of the Company ("Common Shares") at a share price of C$16.75. The interest is payable quarterly, five percent in cash and three percent in shares (at the election of Los Andes), at the 20-day volume weighted average price prior to the interest payment date.

The Company will set aside US $1.05 million in a separate account to provide for the cash component of the interest on all three tranches of the debentures for the next 18 months.

Closing of the financing is subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions, including but not limited to TSX Venture Exchange approval and the completion of definitive documentation. Closing is expected to occur September 2, 2022. Once closed the total investment in convertible debentures by Queens Road into Los Andes Copper will total US$14,000,000, representing a total number of shares, if converted, of 1,250,462 shares.

The copper market has seen an exciting uptick and revitalization in recent years. Besides being a staple metal for building and construction, analysts' forecast copper valuation may exceed historic highs of US$10,000 per tonne with the increased demand for the metal in electric vehicle wiring and solar panel manufacturing.

One of the most prominent players in this arena is Chile. As a country with many of the largest copper mines in the world and some of the most investor-friendly mining jurisdictions to date, Chile is already playing a significant part in producing the copper needed to power the new green world.

Los Andes Copper (TSXV:LA, OTCQX: LSANF) is a Canadian company focused on developing its flagship Vizcachitas copper-molybdenum project, which is one of the largest advanced copper deposits in Chile.

For years, Chile has hosted many international mining projects, with its stable taxation regime for foreign companies to work and a democratic government supportive of mining operations. Los Andes Copper is strategically positioned to leverage Chile's prominent past-producing geological positioning and take advantage of rising copper prices despite production disruptions from COVID-19 in 2020.

Los Andes' diverse investor portfolio demonstrates the vast and enthusiastic interest surrounding the company. Along with a large group of loyal and very active retail investors, the company is also seeing interest generated from the development of drilling programs conducted from 2015 to 2017. The campaign results showed significant grades hovering above 0.5 percent copper in near-surface supergene mineralization.

Additionally, a preliminary economic assessment (PEA) published in June 2019 measured copper on the Vizcachitas property at US$3.50 per pound with an IRR of 26.7 percent and at US$3.00 per pound with an IRR of 20.7 percent. Resource estimates measured 254.4 million tonnes grading 0.439 percent copper, 119 ppm molybdenum and 1.26 g/t silver, giving a 0.489 percent copper equivalent.

With the net present value of the Vizcachitas asset set at US$1.8 billion as of the PEA, Los Andes Copper is favorably positioned to leverage the robust economic and geological conditions of this large copper project for years to come.

The company expects to publish a pre-feasibility study (PFS) for its flagship project in late 2021. This study would include robust economics, updated resource estimates of prospective mining reserves and metallurgical testing results of copper and molybdenum mineralization. As part of the PFS, Los Andes is undertaking work programs that will contribute to the design of an environmentally friendly operation that will position Vizcachitas on the forefront of global environmental trends for mining.

With commitments to environmentally friendly best practices and community participation, Los Andes Copper's management team has primed the company for development and mining success. Its track record of accomplishments in mining, community affairs and project development means that company leadership has the expertise to push its Vizcachitas project to levels seen in neighboring porphyry deposits.

Los Andes Copper's flagship project is 100 percent owned and focuses on developing an advanced copper-molybdenum porphyry deposit in Central Chile. The company expects to publish its PFS in late 2021.

The project is located approximately 150 kilometers northeast of Santiago with accessible water resource networks and good infrastructure. It operates on the same geological belt that has historically hosted competitive and clean grade copper production. This includes the Rio Blanco-Los Bronces deposit, which has seen over 101 million tonnes of contained copper.

Additionally, the deposit has a measured and indicated resource of approximately 1.28 million tonnes at a copper grade of 0.40 percent and a copper equivalent grade of 0.45 percent. Total mineralization estimates also include 11.2 billion pounds of copper, 400 million pounds of molybdenum and 43.4 million ounces of silver.

Los Andes Copper is currently working on completing its 2021 PFS and Environmental Impact Statement (DIA) to acquire the permits that will allow for drilling and mining development. With a strong showing from the company's 2019 PEA, the Vizcachitas copper project demonstrates significant exploration potential and is expected to begin production in 2025.

The Court decision authorized the Company to continue drilling at the Vizcachitas project, with certain operational conditions, including a restricted drilling plan for the first 12 months proposed by the Company. This plan will allow the Company to pursue its original program of illuminating and defining extensions of the mineralized body which still remains open.

Los Andes reiterates its full commitment to complying with all its environmental obligations and continues to engage with all interested parties in a climate of mutual respect.

The Company will continue to expand its previous successful drill program while pursuing the larger goal of completing a Prefeasibility Study in Q4 2022.

Los Andes Copper Ltd. (TSXV: LA) (OTCQX: LSANF) ("Los Andes", "LA" or the "Company") is pleased to report continued consistent positive results from recent drilling completed at the 100% owned Vizcachitas Copper Project, located 120 kilometers from Santiago in Chile.

Further results from the drill program include a highlight of 404 meters grading 0.41% copper equivalent (0.36% copper, 136 parts per million ("ppm") molybdenum and 1.2 grammes per tonne ("g/t") silver) in hole CMV 014. The results also include 44 meters grading 0.46% copper equivalent on the southwestern edge of the deposit (0.42% copper, 96 ppm molybdenum and 1.1 g/t silver) in hole CMV 013. Hole 14 was stopped early in phase 1 and is planned to be extended when drilling resumes.

The drill results from the completed initial drill campaign have shown that the 1.2 billion tonnes at 0.45% copper equivalent Measured and Indicated Resource has considerable potential to grow both in scale and grade. Operating copper mines in the same area as Vizcachitas are among the largest in the world with resources more than 40 billion pounds of copper.

Drilling returned several new continuous intercepts in excess of 850 to 1,100 meters in length above the resource cut-off grade (0.18 % copper equivalent) and a 152-meter intercept of 1% copper equivalent clearly show the potential to continue growing the Vizcachitas resource. The deposit remains open to the east and west. Detailing high-grade near-surface mineralization in the south will be part of the ongoing Pre-Feasibility Study ("PFS"), which is in progress.

R. Michael Jones, CEO of Los Andes Copper, said, "The drilling program results, with the new approximately 1km intercepts of copper, clearly points to Vizcachitas becoming the next significant deposit in line for development in a district which hosts three of the largest porphyry copper mines in the world. We are only just now starting to see its full potential."

Large-scale, advanced copper projects like Vizcachitas are rare and are expected to be in high demand as the copper market heads towards an expected significant supply deficit in the years ahead. Los Andes Copper's 100% ownership of Vizcachitas with no copper offtake entanglements is also attractive to larger copper producers in the region.

Highlights of the initial 2022 Drill Program

East Side - New Area and Open

South Side - High Grade

The drill core assay results reported today will also be incorporated into the new resource assessment for the PFS targeted for the fourth quarter of 2022.

Current resources at Vizcachitas are Measured Resources of 254.4 million tonnes grading 0.489% copper equivalent and Indicated Resources of approximately 1.03 billion tonnes grading 0.442% copper equivalent. Drilling is expected to resume in Q3 2022. The Company has filed extensive scientific information with the Environmental Court asking to lift a preliminary injunction which currently prevents further drilling. The Company is confident that drilling can resume with no significant risk to the environment as outlined in its granted environmental permits. If the injunction is lifted, drilling is expected to resume in Q3 2022.

All thicknesses from the drill hole intersections are down-hole drilled thicknesses. True widths will be estimated as the deposit model is updated, and information becomes available. * Copper Equivalent grade has been calculated using the following calculation: CuEq (%) = Cu (%) + 0.000333 x Mo (ppm) + 0.00826 x Ag (g/t), using the metal prices: 3.00 USD/lb Cu, 10.00 USD/lb Mo and 17.00 USD/oz Ag. No allowance for metallurgical recoveries has been considered. These are the same reference prices as in reporting of 2019 PEA. This means that the reported intercepts can be compared directly with the results published in the PEA. Approximate relative value on the PEA pricing is 93% copper, 6% molybdenum and 1% silver.

World Copper Ltd., headquartered in Vancouver, BC, is a Canadian resource company focused on the exploration and development of its advanced (PEA Stage) copper porphyry projects: Escalones in Chile, and Zonia in Arizona. These projects have estimated resources with significant soluble copper (potentially heap leach amenable) mineralization. In addition, each project has peripheral copper porphyry exploration targets with exciting potential to expand the established resources. World Copper is an aggressive junior resource company focused on advancing mining and exploration projects and controls significant copper oxide resources in proven mining jurisdictions.

The World Copper team has a unique skill in navigating the mining sector within Chile, with some members having worked in the country for more than 40 years and with discovery success.

The Escalones porphyry-skarn copper-gold project has estimated inferred resources of 426 million tonnes of 0.367% total copper within the oxidized zone, based on nearly 25,000m of drill core from 53 holes. The 3.45 billion pounds of copper should be amenable to heap leaching with an average recovery of 71%. The Company is focused on exploring the Mancha Amarilla target immediately to the south of the existing resource. In addition, three significant hydrothermal alteration zones, each measuring between 2,000m and 3,000m in diameter, lie 8-10km to the north of the main discovery.

Mineral resources are not mineral reserves and do not have demonstrated economic viability as there is no certainty that all or any part of the resources will be converted into reserves. Inferred resources are that part of a mineral resource for which quantity and grade or quality are estimated on the basis of limited geological evidence and sampling. It is reasonably expected that the inferred resources could be upgraded to indicated resources with continued exploration.

The Zonia project is in Yavapai County, Arizona, and consists of 261 mineral claims and additional surface rights, all totaling 4,279.55 acres. It is a near-surface, copper-oxide resource and a brownfields site having already been mined in the late 1960s and '70s. The Project is at the PEA level and has been significantly de-risked with over 50,000 metres of drilling completed to date and with substantial amounts of detailed engineering completed. Further details can be found here Zonia - World Copper Ltd.

The World Copper team has a unique skill in navigating the mining sector within Chile, with some members having worked in the country for more than 40 years and with discovery success.

Green River Gold Corp. (CSE: CCR) (OTC Pink: CCRRF) (the "Company" or "Green River") is pleased to update the progress on the 2022 exploration program at its Quesnel NickelMagnesiumTalc Project, located 40 kilometers from the City of Quesnel, British Columbia, in the prolific Cariboo Mining District.

Figure 1. Drill Collar Locations Zone 1 and Zone 2 To view an enhanced version of this graphic, please visit: https://images.newsfilecorp.com/files/7403/135482_1368cf7b348e48a8_002full.jpg

Zone 2 is located approximately 8 kilometers southeast of Zone 1 which is already known to contain nickel, chromium, magnesium and talc, based on previous drilling. Zone 2 consists of a bedrock outcropping covering an area of over 1,2 square kilometers. Both Zone 1 and Zone 2 are located along the 14 kilometer long Deep Purple magnetic anomaly.

This is the first drilling completed on Zone 2. Five shallow backpack drill holes have been completed to date. The nickel grades which were recorded with a handheld XRF scanner were higher than the Company encountered with its prior drilling program in Zone 1. The highest nickel grade encountered thus far in Zone 2 is 0.245% over 3 meters in hole FCD-22-03. Chromium grades were similar to the grades reported at Zone 1. Magnesium values are not recorded with the XRF scanner so any magnesium values will have to await assay. Magnesium grades averaged 15.73% in the assays taken from the area of talc alteration in Zone 1.

All five of the new holes in Zone 2 encountered nickel and chromium mineralization from surface as have all the holes drilled in Zone 1 to date. Shallow drilling is continuing as the Company continues to expand the area of known mineralization and gathers information to help choose locations for deeper drilling.

Figure 2 Drilling Locations on The Deep Purple Target To view an enhanced version of this graphic, please visit: https://images.newsfilecorp.com/files/7403/135482_1368cf7b348e48a8_003full.jpg

The drill core was delivered to the Company's facility in Quesnel and was scanned with an XRF analyzer. The following tables show the meter-by-meter XRF results of drill hole FCD-22-01 to a depth of 5.0 meters, FCD-22-02 to a depth of 2.0 meters, drill Hole FCD-22-03 to a depth of 3.0 meters, drill Hole FCD-22-04 to a depth of 5.1 meters and drill Hole FCD-22-05 to a depth of 5.1 meters. As with all the previous drill holes, mineralization was present from surface.

Note: The XRF data is taken as point values and will not represent the true grade of the samples assayed. The elemental data is highly dependent on the location of which the beam intersects the rock. The device used to take the data points is an Olympus Vanta C Series handheld X-ray fluorescence (XRF) and produces a beam spot diameter of up to 3mm. It is designed to achieve laboratory-quality results in the field and provides rapid and accurate elemental analysis and testing.

Perry Little, President and CEO of Green River Gold Corp., comments; "We are pleased to continue to achieve higher XRF nickel readings as we move farther from the original discovery holes which were drilled in an area of talc alteration. Our geologists felt that higher nickel grades were likely to be found as we moved away from the talc and so far, that theory seems to be holding up. We look forward to seeing assay results for some of the new holes to see if they contain magnesium as well as nickel and chromium. This new outcropping, Zone 2, is 8 kilometers from Zone 1, but on the same 14-kilometer-long magnetic anomaly, giving us hope that the entire magnetic anomaly may contain similar mineralization."

The maiden 2021 exploration drill program consisted of 9 shallow holes collared over exposed ultramafic rocks. These discovery holes returned broad intervals of nickel, chromium, and magnesium mineralization. Assay results from the first six of those holes have been received and are presented in the table below as averages along the entire length of each drill hole. Additional assay results are expected to be released shortly.

Quesnel Nickel/Magnesium/Talc Project Highlights:

There are 3 BC MINFILE occurrences as follows:

093A 013 - Sovereign Creek - developed prospect containing talc and magnesite, and a co-incident nickel sulfide showing.

093A 130 - Sovereign - showings containing talc and nickel sulfides.

093H 061 - R.T. - showing containing nickel, chromium, and cobalt.

Historical records indicate four widely separated areas of talc alteration along a 1.4- kilometer trend. Having discovered the presence of nickel in the talc mineralization in the area of Do-Do- Creek, the Company will be further investigating the other three known areas of talc alteration for the presence of nickel this season.

Fontaine Lode Gold Exploration Plan:

Last year, the UAV magnetic survey identified many anomalies in the area. In 2022, the exploration crew will collect soil and rock samples from the anomalous locations. Meanwhile, the vein structures, outcroppings, and mineral showings will be recorded and mapped. A backpack drill will be utilized to execute strategic drilling on the outcrops to investigate mineralized occurrences. The project geologist will summarize historical mining activities and previous exploration records. The historical records will be plotted on a map and verified during the 2022 field season.

Stephen P. Kocsis is the qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101 and he has reviewed and approved the technical information in this news release.

Stillwater Critical Minerals (formerly Group Ten Metals) (TSXV:PGE)(OTCQB:PGEZF)(FSE:5D32) (the "Company" or "SWCM") congratulates Heritage Mining Ltd. ("Heritage") for completion of their Initial Public Offering ("IPO") and commencement of trading on the Canadian Securities Exchange under the symbol HML

Under an earn-in agreement with SWCM announced November 29, 2021 ("the Agreement"), Heritage can acquire up to a 90% interest in the Drayton-Black Lake gold project in Ontario by completing cash and share payments totaling $320,000 and 7,200,000, respectively, and completing exploration and development work totaling $5,000,000 by the fourth anniversary of the Agreement.

The Agreement also provides SWCM with a 10% carried interest through completion of a feasibility study and includes potential success-based discovery payments of $1.00 per ounce of gold or gold equivalent on mineral resource estimates as filed from time-to-time on Drayton-Black Lake. Success-based payments are capped at a maximum of $10,000,000 and may be paid in cash or shares at Heritage's discretion. At SWCM's discretion, Heritage may own 100% of the project, with SWCM retaining an NSR royalty interest. Heritage has confirmed that issuance of 2,800,000 shares, required as a first tranche per the Agreement, is in progress and acknowledges the requirement for a cash payment of $150,000 within 10 days of the one-year anniversary of the Agreement.

Michael Rowley, SWCM's President and CEO, commented, "Our heartiest congratulations to Heritage Mining for completing their IPO. This achievement is not only an important milestone in our agreement with them but is also one that sets the stage for our mutual success as they advance the Drayton-Black Lake project as their flagship asset. Heritage is off to a great start with a large and highly prospective land package in a producing yet underexplored high-grade district and a team with strong local expertise. gold belt. We expect our agreement with Heritage to be the first in a series of deals whereby we realize significant value for our non-core assets as part of our focus on battery and precious metals at Stillwater West, in Montana's Stillwater Igneous Complex."

Heritage Mining's CEO, Peter Schloo stated, "Completing the IPO is a pivotal moment for Heritage. District-scale exploration assets are very rare, and the project's location in Ontario's producing Rainy River district adjacent to Treasury Metals' Goliath Gold Complex makes it even more compelling. We are well-capitalized and excited about the potential of the Drayton-Black Lake project, and we look forward to reporting on our progress and the targets we have developed there."

About the Drayton-Black Lake Gold Project

The Drayton-Black Lake project consists of over 142 square kilometers in the Abrams‐Minnitaki Lake Archean greenstone belt, along the northern margin of the Wabigoon sub-province in Ontario, Canada. This emerging gold belt has already produced over one million ounces gold1 and currently hosts 6.6 million ounces of gold in Reserves and Measured and Indicated resources in total among New Gold's Rainy River Mine, Treasury Metals' Goliath Gold Complex, and First Mining's Cameron gold project2. Drayton-Black Lake has significant exploration potential with demonstrated high-grade gold in drill results and bulk samples across more than 30 kilometers of underexplored strike in a geologic setting that is shared with Treasury Metals' development-stage Goliath Gold Complex project. Access and infrastructure are excellent on the project, which features direct road access and proximity to rail and power. The project features well-defined, near-term drill targets over four zones, based on over 100 years of exploration data from 176 diamond drill holes totaling approximately 20km that had never been compiled until 2022.

Power Nickel Inc. (the "Company" or "Power Nickel") (TSX-V:PNPN)(OTCBB:CMETF)(Frankfurt IVVI) has filed on SEDAR the Technical Report entitled "NI 43 101 Technical Report and Mineral Resource Estimate for the Nisk Project, Eeyou Istchee James Bay territory, Québec". The Technical Report was prepared by 3DGeo Solution Inc. (3DGS) of Val-d'Or, Québec, to support the disclosure of the Nisk Project 2022 Mineral Resource Estimate on July 19, 2022. The Technical Report is available on SEDAR and will be made available on the company's website

Outlined below is a summary of Power Nickel's Nisk Project Mineral Resource Estimate; with an effective date of May 17, 2022:

The Mineral Resource has been defined in both Open-Pit and Underground mining scenarios

The combined estimated Indicated Resources is 2.6 million tonnes grading 1.20 %NiEq, using a base case cut-off grade of 0.33 %NiEq for open pit constrained resources and a base case cut-off grade of 0.91 %NiEq for underground constrained resources.

The combined estimated Inferred Resources is 1.4 million tonnes grading 1.29 %NiEq, using a base case cut-off grade of 0.33 %NiEq for open pit constrained resources and a base case cut-off grade of 0.91 %NiEq for underground constrained resources.

The Nisk Project is located south of James Bay, a region that is the site of several mining projects (Figure 1) and improving infrastructure (Figure 2).

Figure 1 - Location of the Nisk Project with respect to the location of other known deposits.

Figure 2 - Location of the Nisk Project with respect to the current infrastructure available in the area.

Power Nickel completed the acquisition of its option to acquire up to 80% of the Nisk Project from Critical Elements Lithium Corp. The Nisk Project comprises a significant land position (20 kilometers of strike length) with numerous high-grade Nickel intercepts. Since completion of the option, Power Nickel retained 3DGeo Solution Inc to create a geological model of the Nisk Project and used this as a guide to the very successful initial Power Nickel 2400-metre drill program completed last December and reported in March of 2022.

Based on this drill program and the historical drill results, 3DGeo Solution Inc. was mandated to produce a NI 43-101 compliant Mineral Resource Estimate and Technical Report. Engineering work related to defining a constraining pit shell and underground mineable shapes was contracted to InnovExplo Inc. The Highlights of the Mineral Resource Estimate and Technical Report are below.

Table 1 - 2022 Nisk Project Mineral Resource Estimate.

Note: NiEq = Nickel Equivalent, Ni = Nickel, Cu = Copper, Co = Cobalt, Pt = Platinum, Pd = Palladium, Au = Gold, Ag = Silver, % = Percent, g = Gram, t = Metric tonne

Notes to Accompany Mineral Resource Table:

1. The Independent Qualified Persons for the purposes of this Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), as defined in NI 43-101, is Kenneth Williamson, P.Geo.. (OGQ # 1490) of Solution 3DGéo inc. The effective date of the estimate is May 17, 2022.

2. The estimate of the mineral resources of the Nisk Project complies with the "CIM Estimation of Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves Best Practice Guidelines" of November 29, 2019. The Mineral Resources were estimated in accordance with the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy, and Petroleum (CIM), CIM Standards on Mineral Resources and Reserves, Definitions (2014), and Best Practices Guidelines (2019) prepared by the CIM Standing Committee on Reserve Definitions and adopted by the CIM Council.

3. These mineral resources are not mineral reserves since their economic viability has not been demonstrated.

4. The resources are presented before dilution and in situ and are considered to have reasonable prospects of economic extraction. Isolated and discontinuous blocks with a grade greater than the selected cut-off grade are excluded from the estimate of underground mineral resources. The blocks that must be included, i.e., isolated blocks with a grade below the cut-off grade located within potentially mineable volumes, have been included in the mineral resource estimate.

5. As of May 17, 2022, the database included a total of 66 drill holes (59 historic and seven recent 2021 drill holes) totaling 15,266.3 meters of drilling.

6. A value of half of the assay lab detection limit for each element was used as a grade for the un-assayed core.

7. The assays were grouped within the mineralized domains in composites of 1.00 meters in length.

8. The block model was prepared using Leapfrog® Geo and Edge software. The block model consists of 2-meter parent blocks and sub-blocks of 1 meter. The block model has a dip azimuth of 340°.

9. An interpolation according to the "inverse distance squared" ("ID2") method was performed to estimate the grades in the interpreted mineralized volume.

10. An interpolation according to the "inverse distance squared" ("ID2") method was performed to estimate the Density (SG) in the interpreted mineralized volume. Sample intervals with missing SG values were calculated based on a strong correlation with %Ni. The calculation used was SG = (0.7001 x %Ni) + 2.6751.

11. The "Open Pit" mineral resources are presented at a cut-off grade of 0.33 %NiEq and are confined within a "Whittle" pit shell. The "Underground" mineral resources are presented at a cut-off grade of 0.91 %NiEq and are confined within volumes defined using "DSO" (Deswik Stope Shape Optimizer). These volumes correspond to groups of contiguous blocks with a reasonable size to be exploited by underground mining methods.

12. The engineering work required for the cut-off grade estimation and the creation of the DSO volumes were performed by InnovExplo Inc., and the following economic parameters were used: US $8.00/lb Nickel, $3.00/lb Cu, $25.00/lb Cobalt, $1000/Oz Platinum, $1000/Oz Palladium, $1300/Oz Gold, and $17.00/Oz Silver; Exchange rate of USD/CAD 1.30, metallurgical recovery of 85%, total processing cost CA $40.00/t, mining cost CA $6.00/t, mining overburden cost CA $4.20/t, underground mining cost CA $110.00/t, G&A cost CA $12.20/t, northern logistics costs CA $10.00/t. It should be noted that the G&A cost could be underestimated depending on the extraction sequence chosen.

13. The independent qualified person is not aware of any environmental, licensing, legal, title-related, tax, socio-political or marketing-related issue, or any other relevant issue that could have a material impact on the estimate of mineral resources.

14. The numbers of tonnes are rounded to the nearest hundred to reflect uncertainties, which may cause slight differences.

"Power Nickel was extremely pleased with the inaugural Mineral Resource Estimate and Technical Report. When taken in context with our very conservative assumptions and the clear infill drilling opportunities, as outlined below in the two figures showing isometric views of the potentially economic pit-constrained and underground stope-constrained mineral resources, we feel we have shown Nisk has significant commercial potential. The resource update has clearly indicated some additional infill drilling is needed, and these holes, as well as step-out targets, are now in the process of being permitted as part of our upcoming fully funded drill program," commented Power Nickel CEO Terry Lynch. "We already have permitted several drill targets to the flanks of the current deposit designed to extend the deposit and test new potential pods for additional resources. Historically, Nickel Sulfide deposits don't exist in isolated solo deposits but typically have a string of pearl formation where multiple pearls or pods of resources are assembled in a close geographic area. The next round of drilling, commencing in September, will focus on infill drilling targets outlined by the Mineral Resources Estimate and Technical Report and on this search to extend and discover new Nickel pods. We expect this phase of drilling to continue through the fall with a minimum of 3,000 meters drilled and a maximum of 7,000 meters depending on our ability to continue to intersect the Black Peridotite rock, which is carrying the Nickel grade in the Nisk deposit."

Figure 3 shows the grade of the Nickel Equivalent (%NiEq) mineral resources, and Figure 4 shows the mineral resource classification (indicated and inferred). Note that portions of the deposit still contain unclassified mineral potential and requiring more infill drilling to potentially include this in a future updated MRE.

Figure 3 - Isometric view of the 2022 Nisk Project Mineral Resource Estimate, showing both the open pit constrained resources (using a cut-off grade of 0.33 %NiEq) and the underground constrained resources (at a cut-off grade of 0.91 %NiEq).

Power Nickel is a Canadian junior exploration company focusing on high-potential copper, gold, and battery metal prospects in Canada and Chile.

On February 1, 2021, Power Nickel (then called Chilean Metals) completed the acquisition of its option to acquire up to 80% of the Nisk project from Critical Elements Lithium Corp. (CRE: TSXV)

The NISK property comprises a significant land position (20 kilometers of strike length) with numerous high-grade intercepts. Power Nickel, formerly Chilean Metals, is focused on confirming and expanding its current high-grade nickel-copper PGE mineralization historical resource by preparing a new Mineral Resource Estimate in accordance with NI 43-101, identifying additional high-grade mineralization, and developing a process to potentially produce nickel sulphates responsibly for batteries to be used in the electric vehicles industry.

Power Nickel (then called Chilean Metals) announced on June 8th, 2021, that an agreement has been made to complete the 100% acquisition of its Golden Ivan project in the heart of the Golden Triangle. The Golden Triangle has reported mineral resources (past production and current resources) in a total of 67 million ounces of gold, 569 million ounces of silver, and 27 billion pounds of copper. This property hosts two known mineral showings (gold ore and magee) and a portion of the past-producing Silverado mine, which was reportedly exploited between 1921 and 1939. These mineral showings are described as polymetallic veins containing quantities of silver, lead, zinc, plus/minus gold, and plus/minus copper.

Power Nickel is the 100-per-cent owner of five properties comprising over 50,000 acres strategically located in the prolific iron-oxide-copper-gold belt of northern Chile. It also owns a 3-per-cent NSR royalty interest on any future production from the Copaquire copper-molybdenum deposit, recently sold to a subsidiary of Teck Resources Inc. Under the terms of the sale agreement, Teck has the right to acquire one-third of the 3-per-cent NSR for $ 3 million at any time. The Copaquire property borders Teck's producing Quebrada Blanca copper mine in Chile's first region.
